Client Success Story: Danielle and Brandon

Following their experience with the team, we caught up with Danielle and Brandon, clients who worked with Nate to sell in Evansville and to buy in New Glarus. Check out the interview below to hear about their experience!

Who are Danielle and Brandon?

Danielle and Brandon brought their dream home to life, purchasing a fixer-upper on 10+ acres, fully gutting it, and building a brand-new basement and foundation. An incredible journey from dream to reality. . . one that took 267 days to complete! Danielle and Brandon had their eyes on a farm and were excited when they saw it come up for sale. They listed their current home and the journey began with their Realtor Nate Ray! A survey on the farmhouse had numerous hurdles with both the town and city, water way issues on the land, as well as appraiser delays. They lined up contractors to get the work completed. Working creatively with the home sellers, this process took countless town hall meetings, surveys, and communication. Construction work has been going smoothly and they’re excited to move in!

Why did you decide to buy and sell? How did you know it was the right time?

We had been keeping an eye on the farm we ultimately purchased for over a year, and when there was a price reduction that brought it closer to a budget we felt comfortable with, we knew it was time to take a closer look. I reached out to Nate to schedule a showing and fell in love immediately. After talking it through, everything just clicked—the timing felt right. Our daughter was at a great age, we had recently completed several projects on our home, and the equity we had built made it possible to confidently move forward with both the sale and purchase.

What were you most nervous or concerned about in the process?

Selling our home was definitely our biggest concern. We had spent the last four years pouring so much time and care into making it truly unique and our own, and we wanted to be sure it was presented in the best possible way. Nate and his team guided us every step of the way, sharing thoughtful tips and tricks that helped us feel confident and prepared when our home went live.

What were you looking for in a real estate agent?

Clear communication, deep knowledge of the market, attention to every detail, and someone who truly advocates for you every step of the way. Buying or selling a home is emotional, and having a professional who’s patient, honest, and solution-driven makes all the difference.

Why did you ultimately choose Nate to be your real estate agent?

Nate is so down to earth yet professional.  He was able to joke with us through the stress of our purchase - yet reassured us that everything was working out and his team was on top of it. Throughout our process, Nate was in constant communication with the sellers agent and kept us informed.  He gave us professional advice on the situation and eased our worries!

What stood out to you during the process of buying a home and selling a home?

What truly stood out was the level of support and professionalism from the entire team. Every step of the process was clearly explained and handled quickly—just as Nate promised. They were always incredibly responsive to our questions, which meant we never felt stuck or left wondering what was happening.

Do you have any advice for someone who's thinking about selling and buying a home?

Meet with Matt and his team. They are so knowledgeable about the process yet down to earth and low pressure.  They truly want the best for you so if now doesn't work, they will be there for you when you are ready!

Would you hire Matt Winzenried Real Estate Partners again?

Absolutely! I truly think their strong marketing of our home, helped us sell as quick as it did in such a weird home sell market. And our purchase wouldn't have been possible without the patience and strong communication of Nate and his team!

Thank you, Danielle and Brandon, it was such a pleasure working with you!
