Client Success Story: Hannah and Zac
Following their experience with the team, we caught up with Hannah and Zac, a couple who worked with Matthew to purchase a home in Waunakee. Keep on reading to hear their story!
What happens when you’re casually scrolling through Zillow and you stumble across the right home for you? Meet Hannah and Zac, a young couple who just moved to Waunakee! While they enjoyed their apartment in the Regent Street area, they knew the time was coming soon that they’d like more room to grow and backyard space. “We didn’t know for sure it was the right time to buy but we knew that we were starting to outgrow our apartment. We knew we would be needing something different for our family in the near future but we weren’t 100% sure when that would be and what that would look like. We always loved looking at homes on Zillow and when we found a few that we could really picture our family in we were excited to check them out. After seeing this house and with our agent Matthew’s help and advice we knew we were ready to take the next steps in buying our first house.”
Buying a home is a big decision and brings up lots of feelings, “We had some friends who had been house hunting for awhile and had put in a lot of offers so we were nervous that this process would take awhile once we started seriously looking. Matthew was really reassuring throughout the process and helped us draft a competitive offer.”
They’d had close friends who worked with Matthew before so they knew he came recommended and could be a great fit: “We knew we wanted to work with someone who was knowledgeable about home values, condition, and the market. We also wanted someone who was honest and communicative through each step of the process. . . He was always super reassuring and never made us feel like our questions were silly. He also was never pushy and gave us space to make decisions and talk things through. We felt like he really cared about our family and wanted the best for us.”
One thing that stood out to Hannah and Zac through their first time home buying journey was the communication: “The communication from everyone on the team was so great. Everything felt so smooth and was laid out so clearly for us. We felt so supported throughout the entire process.” Sharing what they learned through their experience: “I would say the best advice would be to start touring with a realtor to understand what you like and don’t like in a home. We also went on a walk through the neighborhood before we put an offer in to see if we could picture ourselves living here and that helped us feel really good about our decision.”
