Client Success Story: The Guerrettaz Family

Following their experience with the team, we caught up with Jamie & Blake, clients who sold a home with Matt and purchased one with Andrew. Follow along in the interview below to see their feedback, advice and one of our favorite compliments.

Who are the Guerrettaz's?

Our lead buyers agent, Andrew, worked with Jamie and Blake helping them find the home of their dreams, this is what he has to say, "I met Jamie and Blake in July of 2020 and we hit it off right away. I always had so much fun meeting up with them for showings because of how easily we got along and I'm looking forward to getting together post COVID for dinner so we can catch up and let the kids run around and play. They originally reached out because they were ready to get out of the country and move closer to town where there is more diversity and things to do with the kids. We lost out on a few homes, one in particular was a difficult loss, but ended up finding a gem that checked off all the boxes for them and then some. They are amazing people and wonderful clients and I was always more than happy to work hard for them. They're a shoe in for the 'Client Hall of Fame'."

Can you give some insight on your experience with the team?

Blake: “It was great working with both Matt and Andrew. We had the pleasure of working with them on the sale and the purchase of our home. They were quick to work with--everyone at the firm actually was. I like to email a lot, and pretty quickly, so the turnaround time was really great. The communication was great overall.”

Jamie: “We have a pretty fair comparison as we’ve moved a lot and have used multiple realtors. We were really impressed with the level of service the team provided and just really felt cared for. Everyone was very responsive like Blake said and we appreciated that.”

What were you most nervous or concerned about in the process?

Blake: “I think the only thing for me was the timing to make sure the sale and purchase worked out in alignment.”

Jamie: “Yeah, but we felt supported by Matt and Andrew to make sure things aligned the way we wanted them to even though some of those factors were outside of everyone’s control. They reassured us and we felt like when it came down to it they were gonna make sure things worked out the way we needed them to.”

What you were looking for in a real estate agent?

Blake: “When we purchased our first home, we were handed a binder with 25 homes in it and we went to each one. I’m glad this time around it was more of a moderate approach where we had some homes picked out and we were able to communicate pretty much all over email and text, which is the way we like to communicate. I’m not a phone person and I don’t really want to sit in person for hours at a time, so I really appreciated that.”

Jamie: “I think given the current situation, being in the middle of a pandemic and not being able to do things in a traditional manner, it was really helpful that there was more of a modern approach as well. We felt comfortable and safe with every interaction we had with the team. We started working with them in the summer, so mid-pandemic, and we just felt like they were really conscientious of what our comfort level was and it was really nice to do more things electronically because of the situation.”

What stood out to you during the process?

Jamie: “One thing that really stood out to me was we were part of a family. We felt taken care of. We knew what the next step was, we knew who to connect with, and everybody was great to work with and very responsive. If they needed things from us they would let us know. They got back to us right away if we had questions. This was our first time working with a team and we really enjoyed it. Everyone was really professional and warm and friendly. It feels like we’re part of a family now. We’ve stayed in contact and definitely have mutual respect there.”

What advice do you have for someone who’s thinking about potentially selling their home?

Blake: “Be ready to move fast. Once it starts, things move relatively quickly. And be patient because in between the really fast parts and the end there is some wait time.”

Jamie: “Be open to the advice of the experts you’re working with. We hadn’t thought about staging and things you would need to do so that was really helpful when talking with Matt. Just be open-minded to that information. The suggestions that Matt and the team had for us were obviously great because our home sold really quickly.”

Would you hire MWREP for a third time?

Blake: “I definitely would.”

Jamie: “Absolutely. There’s a relationship with the team and a level of comfort. We had certain things we were looking for and they met our needs. Some things didn’t go according to plan and Andrew was really upfront with us about what we should be expecting and what our options were. The team was really authentic and that was really important to us.”
